- I've read multiple books on Magento and this one is clearly the first that gave a complete overview of all Magento technical components.All explanations are well-document with common examples and core extracts to let you understand better how Magento works under the hood.Needless to say it's the only book that is based on the last Magento release (1.7 CE / 1.12 EE). Many others are based on the 1.4 version which is now obsolete due to many model changes.I would clearly recommend this book to all newcomers to Magento but also for experienced developper (I'm a Magento Certified Developer myself). This books really comes handy as a quick cheat-sheet for specific Magento behaviors as rewrites.
