IQ and build quality are awesome. VRII is more efficient than any of my Nikkors (28-300 and 16-35). I can shoot at 200mm with a 1/30s shutter and still get great results. It's heavy and it's big, but it's a pro lens, what would you expect? I've paired it with my D800 and, if stoled, I'd buy the same set again. Right away, in fact.If you want something cheap, light and equally pro, get a 50mm 1.8 or 1.4. I still thing these little lenses are the best money can buy in terms of value for money. But hey, that's a fixed 50mm range, not a telephoto lens.Highly recommended!
